I wish there were some slightly up-tempo songs on this album, like Muddy Waters, but other than that they’re pretty flawless. Been long time fan of Nickel Creek and went to a couple Watson Hour concerts in LA, one which Chris Thile was there and it was a surprise Nickel Creek concert where I sat on the floor, 5 feet from them. Pretty intimate and amazing. Sara’s latest band, while nothing can replace NC, is a solid Alison Krause style band whose vocals are a delight for the ears. I have no idea why they’re getting HAIM comparisons. In fact, I find it insulting that there is so little regard for women that people see 3 women singer/musicians and that is literally the only similarity and they’re somehow lumped together? What? There can only be one female group that plays instruments otherwise they’re imitators? Grow. Up. I’m a huge fan of HAIM and there are zero similarities, and Aoife has a completely different voice then Danielle. Excellent first album and I look forward to more and seeing these ladies in concert.

Love this album. Simple, direct, great all around musicianship, and captivating lyrics. Can't wait to see them live this coming August. One can only hope that they keep together going forward. Individually, they are just great and as a group, it's no different. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

These women are virtuosos on their own. Together they’re transcendent. Thank you all for doing what you do. 💕

more 2nd-rate music claimed as not notch in the New York Times. Ladies, find another occupation.

I saw them last night at the 9:30 Club in DC. Sold out show and the club was packed to the rafters. Their music is mesmerizing. Great harmonies and excellent on the many different instruments that they played. They played many songs from the album, which I just bought. We didn’t want them to stop!

What a delightful surprise! I a world of musical sameness, I'm With Her walks away from the everyday with an abum that's asdelightful as it is unexpected. Smart. Entertaining. Loved it.
  • I'm definately with Her

For those who keep saying they're copying Haim, you obviously haven't been following their careers. They've been playing music together for a long time. They play how they've always played, they sing how they've always sung. For reference, Sarah Jarosz's first album came out in 2009. Sara Watkin's album with Nickel Creek came out in 2000, Aoife O'Donovan's first album came out in 2010, and Haim's first album came out in 2013. So who's copying who?
  • Haim 2.0

I’m a fan of Sara Watkins, but this seems like they’re trying to be the folk version of Haim. The music is pleasant enough, but one of the singers sounds a lot like Danielle Haim (maybe Sarah Jarosz? I’m not familiar with her so she may have always sung like Danielle), and the album art is incredibly similar to Days Are Gone!
